Okay.
So MAYBE I shouldn't neglect my blog as much as I do, seeing as I'm considering journalism after high-school, and writing to the endless space universe and throwing it in there might be a good exercise. Right, here goes..
So what have I, the 16 year old girl who recently published her very first comicbook, been up to?
Well, be STUNNED ladies and gentlemen! I've been working on my SECOND comicbook! As well as having a great great time during my summerbreak and being back at school now, dealing with the pressure of which university to attend, I've been drawing non-stop on new projects.
FIRST PROJECT! *drumroffle please?*
My lovely, hardworking, talented group of artists got asked to do the full set of illustrations for an new Japanese event. I got to the coloring part of the main illustration, as well as the postcard, which roughly translates into two full weekends of slavery... But I guess the results speak for themselves right? (: Here's the folder.
I'm extremely proud of it, and it's been distributed through-out the entire country it turns out! OMG! Whenever this kind of things happen, I feel truly special in a way. It's as Rachel from Glee says: "Being part of something special makes you special." - the fact that I'm a part of this amazing group has taught me life-lessons, given me amazing experiences and a second family which I couldn't love more. It makes up for all the slavework that has to be done, the sleep that is lost, if this is the result.
Project 2!
Well, I must admit, I stated I started working on my second COMICbook, didn't I... Yeah - well, I did. But I mainly worked on our second publication, which'll be a vocaloid artbook. We've gathered an international team of artists with Meago and Oceanchan on our crew as well! (:
I'm extremely excited about it, and will post more details soon!
Signin' off and sweet dreams,
Loor
This is the place I've been using since I was sixteen, to put stuff about my art and Comic-producing Company (Dojinshi Circle) Celestial. Must update more!

Booklets and holidays
Hello again.~
Gosh gosh gosh, I really should blog more. Sorry!
I've just been so pretty damn busy all the time. baww..
Anyway! The booklet is finally done!
Yes, finally, my gorgeous little dojinshi has been produced and sold to various people already! (Please please please be good to my baby! D: )
Here's a picture of us selling the booklet.
It was damn hot, but amazing nevertheless.
Honestly, seeing a dealer room without any stuff, knowing it will be up and running in less than two hours is quite an experience. We worked like hell to get everything done in time, but with teamwork we managed to sit, smile and help customers when the dealerroom opened. (What's with the screaming and running fans though?)
Oh! yeah, I'm just back from holiday too, france. countryside. no internet. UGH.
No, really, I love peace and serenity and no blablabla on my head, but I did miss my internet. However, I'm departing tomorrow again, with the Thalys (train) to Paris!
Wish me luck in the big city of light and love!

I don't really post enough.. do I?
Blame it on the dojinshi vs school fight that's been going on inside of me as of lately.
I only have one little thing to say today, I'm afraid:
http://www.wacom.com/cintiq/cintiq-21ux.php
WANT WANT WANT.
Oohhh, and a little sneak-preview of what I'm up to..
And it's taking me ages.
pffffff~

Cause yeah. I have a little problem
So you know how I'm making a doujinshi? (read: epic-adventure-comic-complete-with-your-all-time-favorite-gamefigures-coming-in-stores-SOON-rated-L-for-lovely. Or Loor. Or lepidopterology)
Anyway, problem is this: my style changed. Or actually, my way of drawing male changed.
Poor Christopher, my male character, looked rather.. like Luna's twinsister-without-ribbon in the first pages. Picture to demonstrate? Yes sir!
What the hell is on his head? do NOT ask me.
So, as the story unfolds, for some reason Christopher gets less female, but not quite more manlike.
This is what most shots of him are like. Obviously male, but not so.. muscular-impressive-male as he should be.
So let's say... hypothetically, that a scary monster were to cross your path in a fluffy dreamland where your only companion is this guy above, and this monster is SO big and scary it doesn't quite fit into the fluffy landscape picture. Would you feel rather safe alongside this guy rambling about believing? No? Well then I failed. However..
When scary mr monster (yes, bowser, I know.) attacks and you get caried away by THIS pretty angelic figure, you wouldn't scram, now would ya? Now let me tell you something about these three guys..
Mr(s). luna's-twin-sister (pic. 1) only appears in 3-4 pictures. So no harm there, it's fixable.
Mr. hot-angel-guy (pic 3.) appears in exactly 1 picture. Which is the one above.
Mr. male-but-muscleless (pic. 2) appears in the remaining 35 pages.
A few other notes:
- I have yet 10 pages to draw
- I have 30+ pages to shade and finish
-I need to redraw 35 pages starring mr beautiful angel
- The deathline is in less than two months.
-I am currently addicted to the sims3, pokemon soulsilver and swamped in homework.
Conclusion?
I am fucked.
Bye bye.

I'M GETTING A EXHIBITON OMFGMYGOALISREACHEDICANDIEINPEACENOW.
Well no, I can't actually die yet. Definetly NOT! So much more to achieve! Hurah!
So yep, I'm getting my very first (more to come please?) exhibiton, along with the other members of my dojinshi-crew (read: family). Ain't that A-FRIGGIN-MAZING?
My dear manager Susanna and I collaborated in making the flyer. I'll post it here!(It's in dutchie though~ Sorry!)
So obviously, I'm really excited. The exhibition is in Haarlem on the 4th, 5th and 6th of June, which is.. kinda quick if you ask me! So much left to do.. Gosh, I need to make more pages, or I won't make the deadline of 15th of May! Uhoh.. But I'm wondering. What the hell am I gonna display? D: I could let my ps-art be printed BIG on pretty paper.. or do some traditional works.. or both.. I DUNNO YET. HALP?
As for pages - I'm swamped in things I still want to do! Like.. I need to finish pages, re-do pages, clean pages, screentone pages, pretty it up with fullcolor pics which take LOTS OF TIME, redo color-pages in different colorstyles.. Omfg. Yep, busy as hell. But hey, nothing better than a lot of pressure to keep you goin' right? (Better than kaffeine!)
Oh yeah - I've been meaning to show you this for some time now. A few pretty pieces of Luna fanart a while ago~ Thankyou!
This one was an art-trade, which I keep forgetting to do the counterpart of! Oops! Sorry!
Over and out!

Oh my, it's been a while!
Today, I'll tell you about new my favourite book. It used to be twilight, which is.. cheesy (?) because so many people like it and it's kinda obvious and whatever, but friggin AMAZING nonetheless. Yep, twilight is a book I have read over and over and OVER because it just gets to me, you know, as a teenager. Not that I really want Edward specifically, but it'd be nice. However - I just finished the dutch version of the lovely bones. (The hell, why didn't I read it in english!? - Oh right, I got lazy and found the dutch version in a book store. Yeah.)
The lovely bones is a book I did not know before I saw the movie trailer - hello hello, sounds familiar much? Yep, it went the same with twilight. Now, Twilight thought me this little rule: ALWAYS. READ. BOOK. FIRST. So I did. And it was intense, sad, amazing and gave me goose bumps (a word I learned by reading twilight, /off topic) all way through. Even now, when I've finished it 20 minutes ago, I'm still shaking. So I wanted to blog about it, immediately.
I was first attracted to the book because it has a beautiful cover. *picture..*
Pretty right? Yep, so that hit my attention. And the story, of course. I read a little bit of the comments below youtube trailers - how it was not only breathtaking, but lifechanging as well. This triggered my scepticism. How could a mere book change? So I read it.
And damn. they were right.
The book tells us of loss, of love and growing up. Susie, the narrator, tells us perfectly how the minds of young teenagers and children work, as well as those of her murderer, parents and other grown-ups.
Now, this book, and the movie I'm going to see asap, are very very tear-triggering, so do get a few kerchiefs ready. It's beautiful, it's amazing, but is also very sad. Now go read it.

Caro Emerald and Alexander Mcqueen
I'd like to dedicate this blog to the ending of something great and the beginning of something new.
Where shall I start? The beginning I suppose, for the more cheerfull part.
I found this really great artist called Caro Emerald through a friend. She has a great voice and recently covered Lady GaGa (Call it lady BlaBla please?). it's a really awesome cover!
So yeah, that's it for the good part. Now the bad part.
Alexander Mcqueen was an amazing artist, inspiring and a blessing to the world.
May he rest in peace.

Ahhh, so I have NO idea what I'mma talk about today.
I'm a little pissed off right now, so probably about that.. and oh, I made a cute collage for a schoolproject about gen tech. That pisses me off as well. Wanna see it? Sure thing.
Rough translation of headlines: Gen is looking for farmer, but is the love twosided? and the little text balloon: Can anyone tell me how we got this far? So yeah, clearly, I'm not really into gentech revolution OMFGG WEE SAVE THE WORLDDZ!! things, especially not when it's all about the corrupted western companies trying to take advantage of poor farmers in poor countries. it's all about power and money, it's always been. Well hell, I ain't buying the 'save the world with supercrops'-thing.
The poster/collage thing turned out pretty good though, so that's good. (be careful children, it is the scary gentech crops that rest under your bed at night!) Seriously, they're pretty scary, right? The cow-monster scares me too, but the cow-bee is kinda cute.
Oh, but I was talking about how I was pissed off. Yes, so I'm turning 16 next month, and I wanted my own version of a sweet sixteen. (I don't want a car, srsly, what's up with the ugly-car-which-will-be-stolen-within-a-week-fetish in America?!) No, but I DID want a nice lil' party with some booze and a location. Sure sure, my parents would help me. I was planning on asking 50 people. would've been fun, y'know, partying a bit, drinking a bit, just like everyone else does. But noooo, first I was told I had to have supervision, which sucked but whatever, then all the locations I came up with were denied, and now, I can't serve alcohol anymore. What's next, I can't wear V-tops or short skirts? -sigh-
Can't wait to be 16 and go out with friends, without parents on my back with their 'no-alcohol' crap.
Right, so that's the whiney-part. Anything better in store?
I don't really think so.. I should go and do my homework, yeah, that's probably the best.

Cosplay dress!
*sigh* So I wrote this enormous blog and then POOF, it was gone.
And damn it, I ain't gonna rewrite it.
So I managed to burn my chin. I know. My CHIN. How you ask? (don't laugh!)
I was eating a pizza, and then the topping (cheese etc), which was HOT, came of and flew to my chin. Ouch.
I had to cool it with a piece of frozen soup..
So I have two little burning red dots on my chin right now.
Yeah, being a klutz is great.
Allright, on happier note, my cosplay dress is done! Inspired by this vocaloid clip. (obviously, haha!)
Isn't she prettyyyyy~ * w *

Booklets and websites!
Hi again!
here's a little update from loor. :]
Today I'll be talking about two things; the book Japan Ai and the Celestial dojinshi website!
Let me start with the first. Ever heard of Aimee Major Steinberger?
I sure hadn't before this summer! She's the writer/artist of the book Japan ai! Ai means love, so in translation, that'd be Japan love.
I purchased the booklet in a french store. (Because, for some reason, in France the manga culture is EVERYWHERE, while here in the cold cold Netherlands.. not so much.) Knowing french isn't quite my native language, I decided to buy the french version in order to improve my french! It took me a few tries to understand everything, but as an otaku for life, I understood most of the japanese in the book.
let me make something clear first. This book doesn't contain THAT much tekst, actually. No, it has many, many illustrations of Aimee and her two friends travelling to Japan and describing their adventures! They visit the Onsen, Aimee receives a Dolfie (omg DO want!) and they go cosplaying in tokyo, lolita-style! <3
The original version is in English, and I strongly recommend every otaku, and otaku-to-be, out there to buy the book, because it's amazingly drawn, cute, and incredibly funny as well!
And so we come to the second part of this blog!
For everyone out there who doesn't know what a dojinshi is, go look it up. Yup, I'm making my very very own comic book with a bunch of amazingly talented artists! :3 our website:www.celestialdojinshi.com is up in the air already, however doesn't contain that much yet!
The task is upon me to convert the pictures from .psd to .png, which is one hell of a lot of work! It's fun though, and the site is going to be beautiful! A preview you say? haha, well, a little bit a sneak-peek wouldn't hurt anyone, would it now? The site will be updated soon!

Progress, oh my!
Today's post is all about progress!
First of all, as obvious, over the past year I have dyed my hair twice.
I went from my own color, which is silverish brown, to blond, and now to dark brown. I love changing such things, just for the sake of not getting bored with it. Blond was quite extreme, but I really liked it. However, I'm more of a brunette I guess, and decided to go with dark brown. On the photo it isn't that obvious, but I actually have two colors mixed in my hair! The back is much lighter than the front. It's somewhat alternative, which I absolutely adore. There's nothing better than being different from the croud.
Another progress is my art! You can view the picture in large right here. I started high school in August 2006. It was at this point that I decided I was going to focus on art and school. I dropped tennis and started drawing a LOT. I found a lot of pictures from 2007. (This is when I started giving my pictures a date!) Yes, I believe by chosing to focus on anime-art, I made a great choice. There is at this point nothing in my life that I love more.
I'm happyyy~
