Cosplay dress!

*sigh* So I wrote this enormous blog and then POOF, it was gone.
And damn it, I ain't gonna rewrite it.

So I managed to burn my chin. I know. My CHIN. How you ask? (don't laugh!)
I was eating a pizza, and then the topping (cheese etc), which was HOT, came of and flew to my chin. Ouch.
I had to cool it with a piece of frozen soup..
So I have two little burning red dots on my chin right now.
Yeah, being a klutz is great.

Allright, on happier note, my cosplay dress is done! Inspired by this vocaloid clip. (obviously, haha!)

Isn't she prettyyyyy~ * w *

Booklets and websites!

Hi again!

here's a little update from loor. :]
Today I'll be talking about two things; the book Japan Ai and the Celestial dojinshi website!

Let me start with the first. Ever heard of Aimee Major Steinberger?

I sure hadn't before this summer! She's the writer/artist of the book Japan ai! Ai means love, so in translation, that'd be Japan love.

I purchased the booklet in a french store. (Because, for some reason, in France the manga culture is EVERYWHERE, while here in the cold cold Netherlands.. not so much.) Knowing french isn't quite my native language, I decided to buy the french version in order to improve my french! It took me a few tries to understand everything, but as an otaku for life, I understood most of the japanese in the book.

let me make something clear first. This book doesn't contain THAT much tekst, actually. No, it has many, many illustrations of Aimee and her two friends travelling to Japan and describing their adventures! They visit the Onsen, Aimee receives a Dolfie (omg DO want!) and they go cosplaying in tokyo, lolita-style! <3
The original version is in English, and I strongly recommend every otaku, and otaku-to-be, out there to buy the book, because it's amazingly drawn, cute, and incredibly funny as well!

And so we come to the second part of this blog!
For everyone out there who doesn't know what a dojinshi is, go look it up. Yup, I'm making my very very own comic book with a bunch of amazingly talented artists! :3 our website:www.celestialdojinshi.com is up in the air already, however doesn't contain that much yet!
The task is upon me to convert the pictures from .psd to .png, which is one hell of a lot of work! It's fun though, and the site is going to be beautiful! A preview you say? haha, well, a little bit a sneak-peek wouldn't hurt anyone, would it now? The site will be updated soon!

Progress, oh my!

Today's post is all about progress!
First of all, as obvious, over the past year I have dyed my hair twice.
I went from my own color, which is silverish brown, to blond, and now to dark brown. I love changing such things, just for the sake of not getting bored with it. Blond was quite extreme, but I really liked it. However, I'm more of a brunette I guess, and decided to go with dark brown. On the photo it isn't that obvious, but I actually have two colors mixed in my hair! The back is much lighter than the front. It's somewhat alternative, which I absolutely adore. There's nothing better than being different from the croud.

Another progress is my art! You can view the picture in large right here. I started high school in August 2006. It was at this point that I decided I was going to focus on art and school. I dropped tennis and started drawing a LOT. I found a lot of pictures from 2007. (This is when I started giving my pictures a date!) Yes, I believe by chosing to focus on anime-art, I made a great choice. There is at this point nothing in my life that I love more.
I'm happyyy~
